Emergency Parent Notification
School Messenger is a system that makes phone calls, emails, and test messages to specific people or areas in the event of an emergency, school closing and for sharing important information. The calls you will receive from this system will have a caller ID of 973-239-1550
As past practice, emergency contact information is extracted by the Genesis database that currently houses all Student/Parent demographic /contact information at each school. In order to update any of the existing contact information, changes must now be made through the Genesis parent portal found on the Cedar Grove Website.

The following methods of communication are being utilized by the Cedar Grove School District, and while it’s not necessary to receive all of the messages, the goal is to make sure that at least one contact method is successful. Home phone call, cell phone call, text messaging and emailing will remain the current method of receiving Cedar Grove “Alerts”.
Should you choose not to be contacted, please inform the school office.
