Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

As another school year is underway and poses to bring a diverse set of challenges and instructional practices, Memorial Middle School has gotten off to a great start. I have had the opportunity to reflect on the past 15 years of working with our children in Cedar Grove. This opportunity has provided me with the insight and vision to lead our staff and students toward academic success on the path for college and careers. Now, more than ever, our compassion, understanding, and creativity will be the forefront of instruction to support our students on their academic journey.

As the building leader, I will continue to focus on preparing our students to become lifelong learners and productive citizens that will persevere through an ever changing society. While doing so, I look forward to assisting our staff in continued alignment with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards, differentiated instructional strategies guided by student data and overseeing daily operations of our Middle School.

Open communication between parents, guardians, and our staff is crucial. Please feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher whenever needed. You can find their contact information on our website under the “Staff” section.

We are excited about the year ahead and look forward to working together to create an environment that supports both the academic and social-emotional growth of our children.

Sincerely,

Nicholas DeCorte

Principal
